To expedite the review of these cards, please check Fast Track Review on the card image details page when you create your card and add a Note for Reviewers like “for Forum - Wanted Cards”.
For standard front designs, consider using Stock Card Creations to create new cards quickly. These cards are automatically set for expedited review so no need to Fast Track.
When creating a card for a Wanted Card request, are we supposed to use the exact wording and name provided by the shopper?
Also, once the card is completed and approved, does it go into a private gallery for that particular shopper, or does it become available to the general public for purchase?
I’m asking because this particular request includes a specific person’s name, title, and anniversary year, and I’m wondering whether I should design it specifically for that person or make it customizable for other customers as well.
This request is not your average Wanted Card request. Most requests although for a very specific occasion/theme, don’t give the names for the card front let alone provide the verse.
So for THIS request, yes everything the customer has asked for should be on and in the card, then the card should be marked Private. The customer has provided the verse as well and I don’t feel we artists should make a card for the public marketplace with a verse that’s not our own.
MOST Wanted Cards are more ‘general’ in nature. In other words they want a card for a specific occasion with a specific theme. So we create cards that go through the review cycle and end up in the public marketplace.
Anytime you create a Wanted Card it’s wise to post the PID here on the Wanted Card thread letting Mindy know you have one - in this case in your private gallery. Since this one will be in your private gallery, post a link to it here for Mindy. She always lets the customers know the cards that have been created to fill their requests.
Hello , I’ve also submitted the card on 8th October. I created from GCU Editor using Bigstock and it’s private. Just letting you know, thank you for the updates
Thank you for the questions and answers here, and the new cards!
As an option that will give your work more longevity, consider the customer’s request in a custom front text design allowing any shopper to change it to their needs. And since the shopper can always change the inside verse, you can create what you find would be fitting as the inside verse for your design.
Thank you for approving my card. I’m submitting the link here so that it can be forwarded to the specific customer. I’ve taken notes and customized the inside text with natural line breaks.
