So what’s in a Card Title and what do those reviewers want to see?
1. Format your Card Title FIRST with: Recipient (if there is one: Aunt, Friend, For Her, etc.) SECOND with the Occasions/Holiday - then follow with unique descriptive terms.
EXAMPLE: Aunt’s Birthday Pink Roses and Tabby Cat
2. If your card is a BLANK any occasion card please add the terms Blank Any Occasion to your title. Do however keep in mind, that blank cards do not sell well on GCU. Cards with a message/verse that combines the imagery, message, and occasion to create the perfect card is what customers at GCU want.
3. DO NOT add the word Card (or any variation: cards, greeting card, etc.) to the end of the title as GCU automatically adds this to all titles.
4. Use PROPER CAPITALIZATION in your Card Titles. Specifically capitalize the first word and all the main words. Do not capitalize articles (like a, an, the) or conjunctions an prepositions if they are less than four letters. However you should capitalize them if they are the first or last words in the title. 5. GCU’s title field DOES NOT like the use of any punctuation marks (other than an apostrophe when needed to show possession or contraction), so with the exception of the apostrophe, DO NOT USE, but not limited to: - * , . !; etc.. (dash, hyphen, comma, period, asterisk, etc.) Learn more here: Nuts and Bolts: Card Title – NO Punctuation. | GCU Community
6. Card titles should be kept to fifty 50 characters, including spaces, to fit in the field space and not truncate to a second line.
