When using a quote from an unknown author, must I include “Unknown Author” along with it? Or can I just use the quote with no notation?

Hello, good question!
This is a good guideline:
A quote from an unknown author must still be credited to “Unknown” or “Anonymous,” or cited using the title of the source work to avoid plagiarism. Proper attribution acknowledges the words are not your own, even if the creator is unidentified.
